Cocopah Resort Brand Campaign, Website + Promotion Design

The Challenge

As the resort’s new agency-of-record, we set out to revamp and modernize the Cocopah brand’s dated look and feel — introducing a fun and approachable brand campaign that would draw excitement and encourage visitation from locals as well as “snowbirds”.

The Solution

Focusing on the wide array of entertainment options available on-site and at their nearby properties, we came up with the tagline “All the Fun, Under the Sun.”, with a nod to Yuma being the sunniest city in the world. The use of modern typographic treatments, a bright and energetic color palette, and a cohesive system of graphic elements help to elevate the brand and create a consistent presence across digital, social and traditional touchpoints. 

The rebrand continued into a website and player portal redesign and launch, planning and art directing a five-day lifestyle photo shoot to build a new image library, redesigning and producing the monthly direct mailer and promotions (which combined multiple communications into one, sophisticated and economical piece), loyalty and hotel card design, digital and social ads, interior signage, menu design, and brand guidelines that tie all the elements together.

Results

In addition to winning the Excellence Award for Consumer Websites from AZIMA (Arizona Innovation Marketing Association), the rebrand efforts have contributed to Cocopah’s consistent 14% increase in coin-in year-over-year.
